Boat Buying Mistake #1
The Family Doesn't Take Enough Time Deciding How They Want to Use the Boat.
Always remember, just like a car, no boat will do everything and go everywhere perfectly. Some compromising must be done - but you will still be very happy 99% of the time if...everyone who will be using the boat discusses what they want the boat to do. It sounds silly, but it will help you avoid a big mistake and actually make the search for your boat so much easier.
Will the boat be trailered or kept at the pier all the time? Will the water be a small, calm pond or a larger, busier lake...perhaps a river...or perhaps all of these? Is the boat for cruising only...maybe fishing or skiing or tubing or scuba diving or wake boarding or swimming or picnicking or a hundred other activities? Do you want a lot of speed or maybe extra room for all your friends?
Often people will go out to buy a boat without having thought this through. You could end up being disappointed and unhappy with your choice. I've seen it happen more times than I can count. We can help you Avoid Making This Mistake and be sure you get the boat your whole family will love.
